The WNIN Action Auction is WNIN’s largest fundraising event. Funds raised through the Auction support public broadcasting in the Tri-State. Your support ensures that WNIN’s mission will continue. We provide educational programming for children and adults. We reach the underserved and disadvantaged community through Ready-to-Learn Workshops that promote early childhood literacy. WNIN’s mission is to help the Tri-State organizations and individuals make the Tri-State the best place to live and work in America.
Bidders must be 18 years of age or older to bid. Bidder must be 21 years of age or older with proof of age to bid on alcohol.
WNIN accepts cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover payment options. Bidders paying with checks must provide their driver’s license and date of birth at the time of payment. If a credit card is declined, WNIN reserves the right to go to the next highest bidder.
Pick Up and PayIf you are the confirmed high bidder for an item deemed for pick-up at the station, you must pick up your item within 48 hours of confirmation or you must give a credit card number to hold the item(s). If you do not provide a credit card number, the item will go to the next highest bidder. Pick Up and Pay will be opened April 18 – 30, 2012.The hours of operation will be: •Monday – Friday: 10am to 6pm •Saturday: 10am – 2pm •Sunday: Noon - 4pm Only merchandise items being picked up from WNIN’s studio will be done at the sole risk of the buyer. WNIN cannot provide assistance in picking up, carrying, or loading large items. Items accepted by the buyer and removed from WNIN property are a final sale. Refunds or Returns of Merchandise – No item purchase will be refundable or returned to WNIN or the donor. WNIN reserves the right to dispose of items not picked up within seven (7) days. Successful bidders must make arrangements for the removal of all items on a timely basis or make special arrangements with WNIN.
Items sold at the Auction are not exchangeable unless it is clearly stated in the on-air description that the donor will provide an exchange for another item.
No Merchandise or gift certificates will be exchanged for cash.WNIN will clearly identify in the on-air copy special characteristics, blemishes, or flaws that any item might contain. Antique or otherwise used items will be clearly identified. Any restrictions of blackout periods will be clearly stated for all travel opportunities sold during the WNIN Action Auction. Travel packages that are complete with airfare are clearly described in the on-air copy; Airfare is not included in all travel packages and must be purchased additionally by the bidders. All sales are final. WNIN cannot accept responsibility for any discrepancy not reported to us at the time of sale/pick-up. We encourage all bidders to redeem gift certificates in a timely fashion. WNIN cannot be held liable for donors who go out of business within 90 days of the conclusion of the auction. Please contact the donor with further questions. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD “AS IS”! WNIN makes no warranty or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the property, and in no event will be responsible for the correctness or deemed to have made any representation or warranty of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, historical period, or condition of the property. No statement on this site, made at the sale, in the bill of sale or invoice, or in the script or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability. Verbal statements made by a WNIN employee or representative shall not constitute a contract or warranty of any type. All donated merchandise must be new and undamaged. Art antiques, and collectibles should be in marketable condition. WNIN reserves the right to authenticate the value of donations and to approve all scripts for on-air presentation. It is understood that all donations become the property of WNIN and the sale of those items is at the discretion of WNIN. Receipt will be supplied by auction department after annual auction. WNIN produced certificates expire one year after purchase unless otherwise stated. |
